Granola makes yogurt a million times better!

Granola makes yogurt a million times better!

This recipe is so easy that my 2 year old kid cook pretty much makes it on his own!  It’s really yummy on top of yogurt or just to snack on by itself as Oz and my dad do as it’s cooling.  (My dad seems to come over right after we make this every time… maybe he can smell it from his house, but probably not because it’s about a 15 minute drive. Hehe.)

You can easily double it if you want enough to make Chewy Granola Bars.  By the way, 2 tablespoons doubled is 1/4 c.  I referenced a Measurement Conversion Chart way too many times before I remembered this!

Ingredients:

  • 2 T creamy peanut butter
  • 2 T honey
  • 1 t cinnamon
  • 1 t vanilla
  • 1 c oats

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 325 and spray cookie sheet.
  2. Mix peanut butter and honey and microwave it about 20 seconds.
  3. Stir in cinnamon and vanilla.
  4. Add in oats and stir until coated.
  5. Spread out onto cookie sheet and bake 7-10 minutes, turning half way through.

Here are ideas to get your kid cook involved:

  • Have him mix the pb, honey, vanilla, and cinnamon.
  • Have him stir in the oats.
  • Let him spread the granola out onto the cookie sheet… Go ahead!  Let him use his hands!
Mix! Mix! Stir!
